Diwali is one festival which is celebrated with utmost excitement not only in India but also in other parts of the world. Diwali is the festival of lights. Diwali reminds us of the brilliant display of colorful fireworks and crackers, which explode in the dark nights. Crackers on Diwali are the main attraction to the children. Earthen lamps or "diyas" are generally placed on the balcony or window edges to decorate the house. The custom of fireworks during festivities related to Diwali illuminates the sky and portrays a stunning scene of lights and sound on the sky. The charm of the fireworks is so immense that people from all age group in addition to every social section like to take part in the tradition of fireworks at the time of Diwali.

Crackers hold a lure for both young and old in a similar way. In spite of a mounting anti-cracker drive, there is no plunge in its popularity. When the rocket soars high into the sky and unfolds into an umbrella of colorful residues, people from the ground gaze at this spectacle in wonder, the splendor raining down at their direction. Children take great pleasure in lighting up fire wheel which swirls on the floor while others like to explode crackers emitting deafening sound.
