Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia celebrates janmashtami on a large scale with nearly 5000 people lining the temple to see the worship. Dances, dramas, bhajans, spiritual discourses take place during the festival. The Indian community celebrates the festival as a day-long affair. lot of ceremonies take place, starting with bathing of Lord's Krishna's idol at midnight, followed by darshan and distribution of Prasad.Temples resound with continuous chanting and hymns. |
